Procedure

Vaginal rejuvenation surgery is a painless, 1-2 hour in office procedure. No general anesthesia is necessary. The area is fully numbed using local numbing medication. Dr. Bloy expertly repairs the vagina in the comfort of our office’s surgery room to avoid both the risks of anesthesia and the infection risks of hospitals.

Recovery

Recovery is generally comfortable and quick when patients follow post-operative care instructions. It is best to stay off your feet most of the time for the first few days. Taking it easy, reclining with pelvis elevated, and avoiding any strenuous lifting allow for optimal healing. Most patients are able to resume light activity and work in 2-3 days. Sexual intercourse can be resumed around 4-6 weeks.

Recovery may be longer after more extensive procedures. This can be best predicted during the consultation.
